Event Information

Join us for an interactive, action-packed day of Geography delivered by our expert academics here at the 香港六合彩官网资料. The day will include a series of talks spanning Physical and Human Geography, and you will have the opportunity to explore and interact with our modern equipment and facilities. There will also be a chance for students to get answers to their burning geographical questions in an informal session led by experts in the field.

This event has been designed for sixth form students in Year 12 and Year 13, and college students in Year 1 and Year 2.

10.30am–10.50am – Arrival and Registration

10.50am–11am – Welcome (Dr. Jay Emery)

11am–11.30am – Climate, Cryosphere, and Extreme Weather: The Important Influence of Frozen Parts of the Planet (Prof. Edward Hanna)

11.30am–12pm – Ecosystems Engineers: Animals as Architects for Restoring Physical Landscapes (Dr. Catherine Sanders)

12pm–1pm – Lunch Break and Activities (bring or buy your own lunch)

1pm–1.30pm – Globalisation (Dr. Julian Clifton)

1.30–2pm – Your Geography Questions Answered (Led by Dr. Jay Emery and joined by Geography Reps and Staff)
